Here you can find info and tips about the area you are visiting.
Wherever you are in the Marche region, you will always be surrounded by the Appenini mountains: mountain landscapes, hilly views, large and green valleys and natural reserves.Hills, in particular, represent a splendid combination between nature and man's work: blooming orchards in Val d'Aso and vineyards from North to South. After the hilly landscape, we move to the high mountains, often crossed by deep gorges, as for example the "Gola della Rossa" and that one of Frasassi. But the jewel of the regional landscape is, with no doubts, the Sibillini massif, become National Park in 1993, with many mountains over 2000 m of height, such as Monte Vettore (2476m), where Pilato lake is located, home of a rare species of shellfish, the Chirocephalus marchesonii, with a lively reddish colour. Not too far there is the Sibilla Mount (2173m), where, according to the tradition, the famous prophetess lived. Here, you can also discover the ancient crafts and a rich eno-gastronomic tradition.
